Worked as Creative Content Strategist for Red Bull Amaphiko, helping to give wings to social entrepreneurs around the world by telling their stories and raising their profiles.

Red Bull Amaphiko is the platform for social entrepreneurs, which promotes and uplifts people making a change in their communities, helps connecting others, and shares inspiring stories about social change.

Our task was to raise their profiles by spreading their stories through social media.

In the 9 months I worked on this we came up with a visual blueprint for their moving image/ video social content, created a social tone of voice, activated all paid media on social channels, and contributed to the global social strategy for Red Bull Amaphiko.

Highlights included:

This video with Thato Kgatlhanye. Thato is an alumni of Red Bull Amaphiko, and a prime example of a social entrepreneur who is making a difference in her community with a grass roots project.  Her business collects and recycles plastic bags, then turn that material into school bags for South African children. These school bags are equipped with solar powered lights which charge during the childrens' walk to school, allowing them to have lights to help them study when they return home.

The team found out Bill Gates was so enthused by Thato's project, he cited her as one of the most exciting social entrepreneurs in the world, and asked to meet her. I wrote the script for this video, and commissioned and briefed in a video editor who made it. The video became Red Bull Amaphiko's most viral piece, with over 1300 likes, 1300 shares, and over 6 million impressions.

Wrote and commissioned this video with Belfast based martial arts and men's health activist St James Fights Back

The video was created to promote a story on the Red Bull Amaphiko online magazine, which highlights inspirational social grass roots projects around the world. It was shared 108 times, like 273 times, and produced a great deal of positive sentiment within the Belfast martial arts community.

Planned an activation promoting a Red Bull Amaphiko event in Vienna, where Amaphiko alumni and 'artivist' Mundano came together with street art legend Martha Cooper.

To promote the event we created a fully integrated social plan, including a Facebook event, a narrative stream of content, a video with paid media targeting relevant people in Vienna. It culminated with a Instagram takeover from Martha Cooper herself, which she highlighted to her 150'000 followers.
